BIPOC Communities & Trauma

Trauma has been the foundation for their disproportionately poor outcomes in health, education, recovery, criminal justice and low quality of life for generations in BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities.  Unfortunately trauma has remained overlooked and unaddressed as a culprit to these issues even at a systemic levels. Empowering BIPOC communities with education and support regarding trauma and its impact is especially important because of the historically racialized criminalization of BIPOC communities along with trauma’s link to social adversity.

We offer 1-4 hour trainings for free to any organization interested in educating their community about these issues. We are excited for you to join us as change agents in expanding BIPOC peers across Indiana to promote equitable health and recovery outcomes for all Hoosiers. We are also looking for BIPOC led organizations to partner with who offer programs or services in the areas of health, mental health, recovery, trauma, grief, crime prevention to work with. Do you know someone or is that you? We would love to connect. Please schedule a quick 30 min outreach session.
